What is StackVik?
StackVik is a WordPress plugin by Jack of All Media that displays article listings from public Substack feeds. Free shows your latest article and up to four earlier posts. Pro adds historical archives with pagination and search, layouts, curated collections and multiple publications.
Does StackVik copy my full articles into WordPress?
StackVik displays article listings and links readers to the original articles on Substack. You continue publishing on Substack. It doesn't unlock subscriber-only content.
Is the Pro archive limited to 12 articles?
No. Twelve is the default number of articles per archive page. Pagination lets readers browse your available imported back catalogue across multiple pages. The separate earlier-articles section shows up to 12 posts beneath your feature.
Can I start with Free and upgrade later?
Yes. Start with the featured article and recent-post display. Your settings are retained when you switch to Pro. Pro adds the archive, layouts, collections and editorial controls.
Will new articles appear immediately?
StackVik schedules hourly checks. Timing depends on your website's WordPress scheduled tasks. With Pro, new articles can be featured automatically or held for approval, depending on your settings.
Can I use several publications?
Yes, with Pro. You can manage multiple publications on the same licensed WordPress website, with separate displays or a combined archive.
What does my website need?
A WordPress website where you can install plugins, WordPress 6.0 or later, PHP 7.4 or later, and a public Substack publication feed.
Give your writing
another place to be found.
